HELLO!! SO THIS IS MY BRO/DI?? STRIDER COSPLAY SO FAR, AND I WANTED YOU’RE OPINION ON IT C: SORRY FOR THE IDIOTIC FACE I’M MAKING, THIS WAS THE ONLY PICTURE I GOT THAT WASN’T SUPER BLURRY;;

OH AND THE WIG ISN’T COMPLETELY DONE YET, BUT I’D STILL LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF IT SO FAR!! ALSO, THE TINT ON THE GLASSES IS PHOTOSHOPPED ON SINCE I HAVEN’T DONE THAT YET EITHER;;

N says: Great so far! Hahah, the shooped on glasses make me smile. I love the colour of the wig. There isn’t really much to critique right now, so make sure to submit to us again so we can see the final costume!

D says: Definitely looks good so far! The glasses are a nice shape and seem really well made. The wig looks great so far too, definitely be sure to send  us the finished cosplay!

Hi! I’m thinking about cosplaying Jade, and while searching for outfits I remembered I got this dress from a while ago…do you think that with a little bit of altering it could possibly be an Eclectica dress?

N says: Uh, sure? It wouldn’t be 100% accurate, but I think it could still look alright, and the colour is so pretty. I like the sparkles.

D says: What N said, and I think the biggest issue I can think of would be finding a way to print the Bec symbol on the front if it’s not smooth.

Hello there! I wanted to get a review on my 50s!Stuck Aradia cosplay. The image is above, the legs aren’t painted with body paint. They’re actually covered with tights we painted grey at the last minute, the night before the con at like…midnight or so. C:

Thank you!

I included the ref. as a link because it’s a bit easier.

D says: The outfit is really cute! And I love how you’ve styled your wig. The thing I would suggest fixing are the horns, they’re a bit of an odd shape and rather unfinished looking (like, not very smooth). Aradia’s horns curl more into a spiral rather than sticking up like that, like ram horns. If you don’t feel like remaking horns (if you choose to change them at all) I would suggest buying these and painting the appropriate colours, as I’ve seen them used before and I think they look really nice. Also, I like your idea with the painted tights, they look really nice. :)

N says: I agree with D; the horns just look off. I adore everything else. I applaud your idea of painting tights. I think the whole outfit looks lovely, and my favourite part is the little shoes. They’re precious! And definitely beautiful hair.

ok, trying this again: i’m the nepeta on the far right (sorry but the only full body pic i have is one from a convention), my tail isn’t very visible in this picture but i do have one. (i tried to add another picture last time i submitted but it didn’t work so i won’t even try that again)

N says: You are just.. wonderful, aah. The only issue I can see is that the front of the hat is straight across when it should be like 3, like a kitty mouth. Other than that, you’re glorious. Keep up the awesome work!

D says: Yeah your costume is really great! I can’t really think of anything to suggest besides what N said about the hat, to be honest, so great job!

I don’t have the shirt transfer yet, nor do I have a way of taking a full body shot myself so heres a seperate shot of the bottom half

I put pink laces in the shoes which are just white canvas shoes because I thought it’d be cute and match the shirt transfer when it comes, is this an okay idea?

N says: Cutie! I absolutely adore your makeup. I love everything about this so far and can’t wait to see the finished project, if you choose to show us. The only thing I’d say is that the little swirly hair bit could be MORE swirly, but other than that, you look lovely.
D says: I agree with N, your makeup is great! And I think the pink laces/white shoes is a fine idea, it’s cute when people throw a bit more colour into their outfits I think. Other than what N said about the curl in the wig, I can’t really think of anything to suggest.

sorry for the shitty quality and the mess. ; 3 ;
This is what I have so far for my Eridan, and I want to see what you guys think. I don’t have a wig yet and my skin is photoshooped (although the fins are actually painted grey.) and here’s a side view of the horns:

Also, I’m not sure on how to finish my gun. :c The base is a nerf rifle and then cardboard, and then a ton of tape, but I don’t know how to make it smooth and finished…

N says: I like your fins! I think it’s all looking pretty great so far. The shoes, though, are inaccurate. Your horns, themselves, look really wonderful, but they probably ought to sit bit further apart, and further back on your head. Your hair looks like it could be styled up into Eridan’s hair! Maybe try messing around with some gel before trying to get a wig? And for the colour streak, you could use temporary dye, or a clip-in fringe, or something. My biggest concern with your gun (which looks awesome so far) is if you plan on taking it to a convention, the weapons policy might not allow it, since it’s got a base of a Nerf gun. Make sure to read the policy carefully. As for finishing it, you could cover it in a thin layer of air-dry clay? Let D and I know how it goes.
D says: The pants and the cape are very nice! Agreeing with what N said about the horns positioning, but they look really nice. IMO they could have just a bit more darker orange at the bottom because it’s not very visible from the front, but that’s just a personal preference. I would try to find some new shoes, if you can, or at least paint the blue stripes down the middle of them. I also agree that a wig might not be necessary! I know a lot of places at malls sell clip in extensions for fairly cheap, so you could try that if you’re up for it, but I know a lot of people would prefer just to not use their real hair altogether. As for the gun, I’m not really sure, maybe find some sort of craft primer to coat it with and then repaint it? We’d love to see everything when it’s totally finished though!

Hi there! I have begun making a list of things to fix/add to this cosplay and thought “Hey, while I am making a list of things I need to work on, why not ask for a few other opinions?” Ignore the fact that my skin is clearly edited. It’s just a progress shot.

^Here’s a close up of the teeth and glasses since the first image is a bit blurry.

D says: Ah the first thing I notice is that the wig is really great! I think that the parts that stick out on the sides (not sure what to call them), but these could possibly be styled to flip up a bit more. The horns also look really nice, and I like that the way they are attached isn’t very noticeable. The teeth are very nice looking as well, overall I can’t find much you should change or add!

N says: I agree with D; this looks fantastic so far. You’re probably the best Sollux I’ve seen. My only complaint, other than the duckbutt wig bits, is that the sleeves of the shirt seem to be indicative of a more cap-sleeved, feminine cut of shirt, and that bothers me, but since that’s a personal pet peeve, I don’t see why you should remake a great shirt just to get flatter lying sleeves. That would be stupid. So, yeah, you look amazing. I think D and I would both love to see the finished costume.
